A poetic support to tackle the issue of intersex at birth
Synopsis
Leo’s parents recount the birth of their child. When their baby was born, the doctors couldn’t tell whether it was a boy or a girl. This unforeseen situation raised questions and a lot of emotion. Yet with the help of their loved ones, Leo’s parents were determined to welcome and celebrate their child’s birth as they had imagined.

About the author
Agathe Hyvert-Dansette is a clinical psychologist from the North of France.
She has been working at the Lille University Hospital since 2015. It is from her activity within the Reference Center for Rare Diseases of Genital Development that she made up this story as a poetic support to tackle the issue of intersex at birth.

Paul Spriet is a French artist. He starts to draw and paint from an early age,
